One morning I glanced up into Mabel’s branches and spotted three starlings perched in a row. Two were sitting very still while the third was stretching out a bit. I fired off a few snaps, knowing in the back of my mind that this photo was going to need a little help to make it look the way I was seeing it with my naked eye.

I crouched low to the ground trying to steady my hand as I inched my camera lens closer to the flower. After just a few shots, I was struck with the notion to “take a break.” Odd, considering I’d only just started trying to get a nice close-up picture of the lovely white clover blooms dotting our yard.

Welcome to my new adventure! I’ve been experiencing a shift in myself on a soul level for several months now. Following the tragic passing of a dear colleague, I felt compelled to learn more about the things that couldn’t be explained or defined scientifically just didn’t exist in my book.
