Three Graces

This 6' tall sculpture, modeled after the 1559 marble original by Germain Pilon and titled "Three Graces," sits along the east wall of the Peony Garden in Allerton Park (Monticello, Illinois). In Greek mythology the Graces - Aglaia, Thalia, and Euphrosyne - personified beauty, charm, and grace. Associated with the arts, they were known as smiling goddesses whose presence brought joy to the world.
