I was looking through the hundreds of photos I’ve taken so far this year, and found one that inspired me to resurrect the No-Touch Tuesday category, where I shoot photos with proper camera settings and don’t edit them later.
I’ve been sinking deeper into my love for nature photography over the past 5 years, and I’ve written “wish lists” of the shots I’m still hoping to get. The American Bald Eagle was at the top of the list for a long time.
The point of Fauxto Friday was a way for me to showcase the ways I use Photoshop to edit and retouch photos in order to remove objects, swap out backgrounds, restore damaged prints or, in the case of the featured photo of this post, create something arty and new.
To complement my Fauxto Friday feature, (where I take a perfectly fine picture and edit it to death, transforming it into a “fauxto”) I’m adding a new feature…”No-Touch Tuesday.” The name says it all! Tuesday’s will now feature a photo that I have not retouched in any way, shape or form. Completely unfiltered.
I LOVE to photograph the moon! It has always been one of my favorite subjects. I’ve been fascinated by this beautiful orb for as long as I can remember, especially when it’s full…it is extremely photogenic, and my favorite angle is just as the moon rises and makes its appearance on the horizon.
