No-Touch Tuesday – “Masked Man”

“Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth.”
– Oscar Wilde

This week’s No-Touch Tuesday feature once again comes from my trip to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens. As I said in my last post, the Wings of the World exhibit was one of my favorite exhibits of the zoo. If I close my eyes, I can still remember walking through the open air aviary as if it were yesterday. You want to keep an eye on the birds roosting above you, in case of splatters, but it was easy to get lost in just watching these beautiful birds sitting calmly.

Further into the exhibit, I was enthralled watching the Giant Fruit Bats just waking up…

… and mesmerized by the gorgeous colors of the Nicobar Pigeon…

But when reviewing the photos on my memory card, it was the Masked Lapwing that jumped out as another outstanding shot that needed no extra touches. You can practically hear this little fellow asking, “Are you talking to me?” 🙂
